Sunday school resumes Sunday, September 8, 2024. Summer Connection at Long Lake Park runs Wednesdays, June 5-August 28 with the exception of August 7. School year connection resumes Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Children & Youth

Parents, please register your child(ren) for activities in Nursery–Grade 12. When
you arrive, come to a check-in kiosk and print a name tag for each student.

Sundays

  • Our nurseries are available for both services on Sunday mornings for children ages 0-3.

  • 9–10:20am | Various rooms in Hallways A/B (doors open at 8:45am)

    11am–12:20pm | Various rooms in Hallways A/B (doors open at 10:45am)

    We seek to point the next generation to find their joy in Jesus, to be students of God’s word, and to connect in the local church. A team of classroom leaders guide children through teaching and activities. Parents of students in Grade 3 and younger, please escort children to their classrooms and promptly pick them up after class.

  • Our nurseries are open for children ages 0-3 on Wednesday nights for Connection starting at 6:45pm.

    Teachers and small group leaders encourage children to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and God’s word through lessons, activities, and small groups.

  • We are blessed to have 4 different youth choirs, for students in grades K-12. Youth choirs typically sing 2–5 times a year in worship services and for special events. During rehearsal times, children learn principles of biblical worship and the rudiments of music and singing.

College Students & Young Adults

College Ministry
(Campus Outreach)

College students gather in room D502 on Sunday mornings from 10-10:45am for food, fellowship and discipleship. Learn more about Campus Outreach here.

Young Adults

During the school year, the young adult ministry meets twice a month on Mondays at 7pm. On the second Monday of the month, we gather for teaching, worship, and fellowship. On the fourth Monday of the month, we will have a community event. Find more information here.

Sundays

  • When: 9:15–10:30am, Room D504

    Who: Young married couples

    What: Join young married couples each week as we explore God’s design for marriage. This class is for newly married couples along with couples who have been married for several years. This is a great opportunity to connect and build relationships with other people who are in the same season of life.

  • When: 9–10:30am, Room C402–C404

    Who: Adults of all ages

    What: This adult class meets year-round to build relationships through expository teaching of the Word with discussion and practical application in today’s world. The class also unites around the celebration of fellowship through hymns, prayer, and support of missions.

    Who: Parents with children of all ages

    What: We seek to be a supportive community of parents that grow in our understanding of how God parents us, and in light of that, how to be faithful imitators of Him. We all come with questions and glean from the collective wisdom of the body of Christ. Come to this class at any point in the year to be encouraged and equipped for the role of parenting.

    Who: Adults of all ages

    What: This multi-generational gathering includes fellowship, prayer, and teaching.

    Who: Anyone!

    What: New to The North Church? Come get to know our pastors and ministry leaders and learn about our church. Those who attend all seven (non-sequential) classes fulfill the curriculum requirement for becoming a covenant member. Begin any time!

    Who: Adults of all ages

    What: What is the presence of God, and how do we pursue it? This class will not only seek to answer such questions biblically, but also share practical encouragements, and provide extended time to pray with and for one another.

Wednesday Connection

  • When: Wednesdays, 6:50-8pm, Room C400

    Who: All women are welcome!

    What: Judges: Who Will Save Us?

    “Who will save us?” Having forgotten their covenant God, Israel was willing to turn anywhere but to the only one who could truly save them! But in spite of their unfaithfulness, it is the Lord himself who heard the groans of his people, pitied them, and powerfully intervened to save them from disasters of their own making. The book of Judges illustrates that apart from the Lord, no one can save.

    Who: Men of all ages

    What: Join The North Church men each week as we study 1 Samuel & 2 Samuel. We aim to sharpen and encourage one another through small group discussion of an assigned section of the text (typically 2 chapters per week) and corresponding study questions.

  • When: 6:50–8pm, Room D500

    Who: English language learners & those interested in being tutors

    What: This English conversation class is designed for internationals seeking to improve their English conversation skills and build friendships with Americans. Participants in this class will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of topics in a relaxed setting and also learn about their language partner’s biblical worldview.

  • When: Weekly rehearsals September-May, 7:00pm, Room D502
    First Rehearsal is 9/18/24

    Who: Anyone grade 10-adults

    What: The Worship Choir helps lead worship in weekend worship services about once a month, as well as in special events throughout the year. Registration isn't necessary, just show up at rehearsal to get involved!

  • Adults with cognitive disabilities gather to grow in the knowledge and grace of God through worship, Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and service. Parents or caregivers are welcome.

Mid-Week/Saturday Classes & Activities

  • When: 1st & 3rd Mondays (7pm) and Tuesdays (9:30am), Commons

    Who: Moms of all ages and stages!

    What: Mothers of all ages are welcome to join us for MOMS.

    At each meeting we hear a message aimed to help us grow in the Lord in a variety of areas, from discipling our children, growing our marriages, showing hospitality, and more. Each gathering also allows you to connect with other moms in a small table group to encourage and support each other throughout the year.

  • When: 2nd Mondays, 7pm, Room A200

    Who: Women of all ages!

    What: Rope Holders provides a unique opportunity for women to pray together for the specific needs of our global partners as God works through them to make his name known among the nations. Each month (Sept–May), one or two of our global partner women join us to share about their lives and ministry, and we have the precious opportunity to pray for them and for many of our dear sisters who give their all for the kingdom of God and depend on us to uphold them in prayer.

  • When: Tuesdays, 6:15-8:30pm, Edwards Conference Room

    Who: Anyone!

    What: Join us Tuesday nights to learn how to share your faith and love our church neighbors. We will be going door-to-door in the New Brighton community. Those with little or no experience are able to observe and pray. We especially need team members for prayer! We will meet through mid-October.
