Women’s
Ministry
The North Church Women’s Ministry exists to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. We long for women to treasure Christ in all of life, finding ever-increasing joy through seeing more clearly and knowing more deeply the glorious triune God revealed in scripture, and embracing with assurance the great gospel hope offered us in Christ.
Our Women’s Ministry theme for 2026-27 is My Times Are in Your Hand (Psalm 31:14-15a). Psalm 31 is written by David in a time of intense pressure and persecution. He is crying out to the Lord for mercy and deliverance. Verse 14, “But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God,” reveals a remarkable shift in David’s conversation with the LORD. David then declares, “My times are in your hand.” This declaration of trust in God acknowledges God’s sovereignty over both the span of our lives and the moment by moment realities of our lives. David makes a conscious decision to surrender his security, future and eternity to God’s control. We must also shift our view in trials back to these unchanging truths—God’s steadfast love is at work to faithfully sustain and deliver us. May we say with David, “My times are in your hand”—trusting that God’s steadfast love is stronger than the pressures of our lives.
“But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hand;”
—Psalm 31:14-15a
Women’s Fall Bible Study
The book of Titus offers us much wisdom for today as we seek to live out the gospel in our culture. Paul writes this letter to encourage his co-worker, Titus, as he restores order to house churches on the island of Crete. The heart of what Paul wants Titus to teach is that God has redeemed us by grace through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. And believers’ faith and growing knowledge of truth rest on the hope of their eternal life in Christ. Faithful growth in sound doctrine, empowered by God’s grace, leads believers to godly living.
“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy… so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
—Titus 3:4-5a, 7

MOMS
Mothers of all ages, join us for MOMS—“Making Our Mothering Significant”—as we learn and grow together from September–May each year. Topics range from growing our marriages to growing our gardens, from raising our children to raising our eyes to Jesus, from inspiring testimonies to inspiring household organization.
We hope you will join us at MOMS this year as we focus on our theme—My Times are in Your Hand—to grow in turning from fear to trust, surrendering our “times” to the Lord. It is our prayer that our hearts will grow in embracing God’s sovereignty in our lives. May we joyfully learn to worship as we say with David, “‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hand.”—Ps. 31:14-15a

Rope Holders
Rope Holders typically meets every second Monday at 10am from September–May. We seek to “hold the ropes” for those sent out for the sake of the name of Jesus, bringing their needs to God in prayer.
Why “Rope Holders”? William Carey, often called the father of the modern missions movement, had a dear friend, Andrew Fuller, who believed that every Christian was commanded to spread the gospel, and some were called to do so cross-culturally. Before leaving for India, Carey famously told Fuller, “I will go down into the pit, if you will hold the ropes.” And the global partners that we send out are also sustained and enabled by God’s grace as the “rope holders” back home pray for them!
You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God. (3 John 1:6-7)
For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance. (Philippians 1:19)

Titus 2
Are you looking for an older woman or two to disciple you, pray with you, and encourage you in your faith?
In response to the biblical mandate of Titus 2:3–5, we support the discipleship ministry of the church by calling women to establish godly mentoring relationships that will encourage and equip them to live for God’s glory. In Titus 2 groups, one or two older women lead a group of younger women, meeting once a month, through a book study or a focus on a wide variety of skills or topics.
Email women@thenorthchurch.com for more information or to join a group!
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith--that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
— Ephesians 3:14–19
