Women’s Ministry
The North Church Women’s Ministry exists to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. We long for women to treasure Christ in all of life, finding ever-increasing joy through seeing more clearly and knowing more deeply the glorious triune God revealed in scripture, and embracing with assurance the great gospel hope offered us in Christ.
Our Women’s Ministry theme for 2025-26 is Behold and Become: “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Behold Our God | Women’s Christmas Celebration
Join us Saturday, December 6, at 10 am for Behold our God!— our Women’s Christmas Celebration & Brunch!
Invite your friends and family to come with you to enjoy a program at 10am followed by brunch at 11am.
Women, we pray you will take advantage of this opportunity to enter the Christmas season with a heart of expectation. We want to behold the wondrous mystery of our Savior’s incarnation and birth, when the Light of Life took on flesh to redeem us from darkness. Gather with your sisters to look to Jesus.
This is a Women's Ministry event, and is therefore aimed primarily at an adult audience. We have not, however, set a fixed minimum age. Girls old enough to sit for a couple of hours and enjoy brunch and a program are welcome to attend. This event will not be suitable, however, for very young children.
Cost will be $10 per adult and $5 for girls 12 and under, maximum of $30 per family.
Registration has closed.
Upcoming Events
Women’s Bible Study
Please join us to study 1 & 2 Samuel as we will learn of God's continued care for his people in providing them with a king and establishing a center of worship for Israel. Through the transfer of power from Samuel to Saul to David, God reveals His providential guidance. Come walk with us through these important books that chronicle the history of ancient Israel. This study will point to God's power, control, patience, salvation, and righteous judgment as he brings about his purposes and surprising and seemingly upside down ways.
Regular classes will run January 27 & 28 through April 14 & 15 with the following options available:
Tuesday evenings, 7–8:30 pm
Wednesday mornings, 9:45–11:45 am
Wednesday Connection, 6:50–8pm (English and Chinese classes available.)
Independent Study
Registration will open in January.
“Not by might shall a man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; against them he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.” —1 Sam. 2:9b–10

Rope Holders
Rope Holders typically meets every second Monday at 10am from September–May. We seek to “hold the ropes” for those sent out for the sake of the name of Jesus, bringing their needs to God in prayer.
Why “Rope Holders”? William Carey, often called the father of the modern missions movement, had a dear friend, Andrew Fuller, who believed that every Christian was commanded to spread the gospel, and some were called to do so cross-culturally. Before leaving for India, Carey famously told Fuller, “I will go down into the pit, if you will hold the ropes.” And the global partners that we send out are also sustained and enabled by God’s grace as the “rope holders” back home pray for them!
You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God. (3 John 1:6-7)
For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance. (Philippians 1:19)

Titus 2
Are you looking for an older woman or two to disciple you, pray with you, and encourage you in your faith?
In response to the biblical mandate of Titus 2:3–5, we support the discipleship ministry of the church by calling women to establish godly mentoring relationships that will encourage and equip them to live for God’s glory. In Titus 2 groups, one or two older women lead a group of younger women, meeting once a month, through a book study or a focus on a wide variety of skills or topics.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith--that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
— Ephesians 3:14–19
