Pastor for Worship

Dan's passion for God and love for the local church motivates him to press on in shepherding at The North Church in worship and music. For more than two decades, in obedience to Jesus' command found in John 21:17, Dan has expressed his pastoral calling to "feed the sheep" by planning and leading corporate worship services Sundays, Wednesdays and on special occasions. Aiming to maintain the priority of singing God-centered, Christ-exalting and biblically-coherent songs, Dan serves alongside dozens of volunteer leaders who conduct, sing and play instruments for the glory of God and in advancing the gospel-savoring gladness of the people.

Dan and Liz have been married for more than 4 decades. The Holsts have 4 children, 3 of whom are married, and 4 grandchildren. They have been a part of The North Church since its inception in 2002.
